Welcome to SYNTHBUS ("we", "our", or "us"). By accessing or using synthbus.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.
When you buy or download a track you are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable, worldwide licence to use it under our Music Licence, which you agree to at checkout. In short: you may use the music inside content you create — videos, streams, podcasts, games, adverts and DJ sets, including monetised ones — but you may not distribute the music itself. That means no reselling or sharing the audio files, no releasing the tracks as music on streaming services or download stores, and no registering them with Content ID or any royalty system. The Music Licence sets out the full terms and takes precedence on questions of use.
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries related to payments and handles returns.
Upon successful payment, a secure download link will be emailed to the address provided during checkout. Download links are valid for 48 hours and are limited to a maximum of 6 downloads per track to prevent unauthorized sharing.
Monthly subscription plans are billed in advance and renew automatically every 30 days until cancelled. Each plan includes a fixed number of download credits per billing period. One credit permanently unlocks one track; an album costs one credit per track it contains.
Credits do not roll over. Your balance resets to the full plan amount on each renewal date, and any unused credits from the previous period are forfeited.
While a subscription is active, you may stream any track in the catalogue in full. Tracks you have unlocked with credits remain listed in your account library, and may be re-downloaded free of charge for as long as your subscription is active. Re-downloading is a benefit of an active subscription: when a subscription ends, the library remains visible but downloads from it are suspended until you subscribe again. Files already downloaded to your own device remain yours to use under your licence. Full-length streaming of tracks you have not unlocked ends when the subscription ends.
You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and no further charges are made. Access to credits and full-length streaming continues until that date.
Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.
We collect your email address solely for the purpose of delivering your purchased digital audio files and sending order receipts. We do not use your email for marketing unless you explicitly opt-in.
All transactions are securely processed through Paddle.com. SYNTHBUS does not process, collect, or store your credit card information. Please refer to Paddle's Privacy Policy for details on how your payment data is handled securely.
We use local storage (such as your browser's local storage) strictly to maintain your shopping cart functionality while you browse the store. We do not use third-party tracking cookies.
Due to the nature of high-quality digital audio files, our refund policy is strict to prevent abuse of the digital delivery system.
Because digital files cannot be "returned," we generally do not offer refunds once the download link has been generated and the files have been accessed.
Subscription payments already taken are non-refundable, including for unused credits. You can cancel at any time to prevent future charges. Credits spent on unlocking tracks cannot be refunded once the track has been downloaded; a track added to your library but not yet downloaded can be removed to return the credit within the same billing period.

The player is a separate product from the music and is covered by its own terms, which you agree to at checkout. The full End User Licence Agreement is included with the installer as EULA.txt; this section summarises it.
You receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the player. You may install and use it on any computer you own, for private or commercial purposes, including producing and publishing work created with it. You may make copies for backup purposes. The licence does not expire: you may keep using the version you received, and if you obtained the player as part of a subscription it remains licensed to you after that subscription ends.
You may not sell, resell, rent, lend, sublicense, publish or otherwise distribute the software or make it available to third parties. You may not remove, hide or alter any copyright, trademark or licence notice, including the accompanying THIRD-PARTY-NOTICES.txt. You may not reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the software, except to the extent applicable law expressly permits it, and except for the third-party components described below.
The software is licensed, not sold. SYNTHBUS retains all right, title and interest in it. You own the work you create with the player; you do not own the player itself.
The player includes third-party components licensed separately, listed in THIRD-PARTY-NOTICES.txt supplied with the software. Some are licensed under the GNU LGPL; your rights in those components come from their own licences and are not limited by our terms. Where our terms conflict with the licence of a third-party component, that component's licence prevails for that component.
SYNTHBUS may release updates but is under no obligation to do so. Future major versions may be offered as separate products and are not included in this purchase. Downloads, re-downloads and updates are provided through this website and are available only for as long as that service operates, so please keep your own backup copy of the installer.
